About Polar
From its inception, Polar Asset Management Partners has built a culture within its staff of giving back to the community through its charitable foundation, The Polar Foundation. The Foundation supports a number of causes including matching employee donations. The Foundation has and continues to seek out causes through which it can have a significant and meaningful impact on the community and has turned to United Way to assist in sourcing and vetting these initiatives. United Way has the infrastructure and resources that the Foundation does not have to provide opportunities that resonate with the community and with Polar.
Following Polar's successful seed funding of the Bathurst Finch Community Hub, the Foundation has embarked on a four-year commitment to the Toronto Enterprise Fund to provide capital for new social enterprises to grow and expand. As well as the $ 1 million monetary contribution, Polar is taking an active role in reviewing and assisting these enterprises. They believe United Way provides the most efficient method to direct their resources in projects to make for a better community today and into the future.
