Toronto Enterprise Fund Business Plan Competition Volunteer

Are you passionate about volunteering in the nonprofit sector? Do you want to learn more about social enterprises? Do you have business expertise to share?

We are looking for volunteers to provide support and advice to community agencies and organizations that are planning to start a social enterprise. Lend your business expertise to help develop a business plan that will be submitted for funding.Experience working with business plans or developing feasibility/marketing plans would be a bonus.

The Toronto Enterprise Fund (TEF) is a unique funding partnership between United Way Toronto & York Region ( and all three levels of government. TEF provides support to new enterprises through a business plan competition that will grant $155,000 to the most viable business plans in 2017-18. Enterprises attend four workshops that help them develop their business plan, receive coaching assistance and, if successful, funding of up to $75,000.

If you have a minimum of two years of experience in entrepreneurship, business development and/or management, and can commit approximately 8 hours per month for 6 months we want to hear from you.
