TEF Evaluation Report 2014
Our Evaluation Report published in December 2014 demonstrates the impact that working in a social enterprise can have on people who are socially marginalized.
Doing Well While Doing Good
Doing Well While Doing Good shares our insights as to why some organizations are more successful than others at developing viable social enterprises. Published in 2008, this primer is written for both social entrepreneurs, funders, and non profits to explain the key success factors for successfully developing a social enterprise.
"For any organization considering social enterprise, a strongly recommended first step is to have staff, leadership, and Board members individually dedicate two hours to the review of Doing Well While Doing Good: How to Launch a Successful Social Enterprise."
Stacey Corriveau, Director, Fraser Valley Centre for Social Enterprise
The Business of Inclusion
The Business of Inclusion was researched and written for the Toronto Enterprise Fund by Eko Nomos in 2004. It is a series of four reports:
- Background to the Toronto Enterprise Fund, social enterprise, and the Business of Inclusion research
- Participant outcomes, based on extensive interviews with participants, on-site observation, interviews social enterprise staff and board members, and review of semi-annual enterprise reporting.
- Learning about enterprise development through the experience of the enterprises as they negotiate the early stages of business development.
- Organizational challenges of developing social enterprises within social development organizations, and combining core competencies in social development practice with business-oriented thinking in an appropriate and functional way.
