Sustain Existing ESEs

TEF supports the sustainability of existing employment social enterprises through clusters, advocacy, knowledge dissemination, and access to capital (grants and loans).

Throughout 2018, TEF will announce the launch of new programs in each of these three areas. Sign up to our This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. to stay apprised of new program announcements.

Mixed Capital Opportunities Fund

TEF’s Mixed Capital Opportunities Fund (Mixed Cap) offers a grant/loan hybrid up to $30,000, in partnership with Alterna Savings. Mixed Cap is designed for existing employment social enterprises that have a business opportunity or expansion plans, and job creation potential, particularly for people who are socially marginalized.

Clusters

Food Cluster - In 2018, TEF is supporting employment social enterprises operating in the food industry through their participation in a 'Food Cluster'. Through being a member in the cluster, food-based employment social enterprises have access to meet-ups, mentors, cluster project grants, and an online network. Learn more about the Food Cluster

Other Clusters - In subsequent years, TEF will explore the launch of clusters to support employment social enterprises working in other industries, and with specific 'target population' groups (e.g. people with disabilities, newcomers, etc.).

Operating Grants

TEF provides operating grants to a portfolio of non-profit employment social enterprises. Learn more about our portfolio.
